Please note: this version does not fit the KitchenAid Professional or Heavy-Duty range. Most KitchenAid mixers aren't from these ranges — but if your mixer's model name says Professional or Heavy-Duty on the side strip, it won't fit.

Will it fit my KitchenAid mixer?
This version fits 6 Qt bowl-lift mixers — the ones where a lever lifts the bowl up. If the top of your mixer tilts back instead, you need the 4.5–5 Qt stainless steel version.
Can I use it for bread or pizza dough?
No. Use your dough hook for heavy doughs. The flex edge beater is for batters, creaming and frosting.
Is the silicone edge food safe?
Yes. The edge is BPA-free flexible silicone, safe for food contact.
Does it replace my standard flat beater?
For most cake batter, cookie dough, creaming and frosting, yes — it does the same job while scraping the bowl as it mixes.
How do I clean it?
Hand washing is the safest way to protect the non-stick coating and silicone edge.
